Pi Network Kicks Off Hackathon 2025 with Massive 160K Pi Prize Pool

Pi Network has officially opened registration for its Pi Hackathon 2025, marking the first community-wide event since the launch of its Open Network. Organized by the Pi Core Team, the competition began accepting entries on August 15 and will officially start on August 21. Participants have until October 15 to submit their projects for review.

A midpoint check-in is scheduled for September 19, allowing teams to showcase their progress and receive feedback. The total prize pool is set at 160,000 Pi, distributed among up to eight teams. The top prize is 75,000 Pi, followed by 45,000 Pi for second place and 15,000 Pi for third. Five additional teams may receive honorable mention awards of 5,000 Pi each.

Developers are encouraged to build Mainnet applications that enhance real-world utility for the PI ecosystem. Judging criteria include functionality, usability, design, and community impact. All participants must complete KYC verification to qualify for rewards.
